Code of Ethics
Our Commitment
Signatur Biosciences exists to make precision diagnostics accessible, starting with the 21-gene gold-standard breast cancer test. This code sets out the principles that guide how we work with patients, sample donors, healthcare partners, suppliers and each other. It applies to everyone at SigBio, across our London and Liège teams, and to the partners we ask to meet the same standard.
Patient Dignity, Equity & Access
We treat every patient with dignity and respect, free from discrimination on any ground. Closing the gap in diagnostic access is our founding purpose, and we pursue it transparently, prioritising clinical benefit and equity over convenience or cost alone.
Confidentiality & Data Protection
Genetic and diagnostic information is among the most sensitive data a person can share. We collect, store and use patient and donor data only with informed consent, limit access to those who need it to do their job, and disclose it only as that consent and the law allow.
Scientific & Professional Integrity
Our scientific judgement is independent and evidence-led. We source biological samples only with free, informed donor consent and the proper ethical and regulatory approvals, manage conflicts of interest openly, and refuse to take part in practices that are scientifically unsound or unsafe — regardless of commercial pressure.
Accountability
SigBio's leadership team owns this code and reviews it at least annually. Staff and partners can raise concerns through confidential channels without fear of retaliation, and we hold ourselves and the hospitals, suppliers and consultants we work with to these same standards.
